Welcome to Swap School

G’day and welcome to Swap School!

This is a blog designed for two distinct audiences: novices looking to undertake their first engine-swap (or do their engine swaps a bit easier), and experienced enthusiasts and professionals looking for information on advanced swap information. This might range from what tools you need to do an engine swap, how to modify sumps, and budget engine options (novice), up to how to set-up electric air-conditioning, wiring in standalone ECUs, or putting traction control in your 60s muscle car (advanced).

My background as a car magazine journalist and someone who has swapped dozens of engines over the years means I’m uniquely placed to bring this content to you. I’m still building Swap Genie up, but hopefully Swap School will give you cause to come back and check the site out as I add more content, 3D-scans of engines, detailed specs designed for engine swap projects, and more.

If you have any feedback, questions, or want to discuss how to fit a Repco-Brabham F1 engine into your Leyland Marina, then reach out to me at info@swapgenie.com.au or on our Instagram: instagram.com/engineswapgenie

Cheers,

Iain
